Georgia deputy arrested after arrest for rape, child abuse, police say
Michael Ciaglo/Getty Images A deputy in DeKalb County, Georgia, was fired after being arrested Sunday on a slew of sex crimes charges, including child abuse, authorities said. Derrick Gardner, 34, was arrested Sunday by DeKalb County police and charged with human trafficking for sexual slavery, rape, child abuse, first-degree cruelty to children, seducing a child for indecent purposes and aggravated sexual acts, authorities said.
