A man died on the first day of his new job when he fell 30 feet from a hot air balloon.
Shocking footage captures the moment the student who worked part-time for the hot air balloon company suddenly takes off.
The boy was desperately trying to hold on to the outside of the basket as people rushed to help.
When he was watching at Youyi Manor near Zhuzhou City, China, screams could be heard.
A Lexiang Aviation Sports Club spokesman confirmed that the victim was a part-time student.
They called ambulance but the young man had already died when they arrived just after 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The company informed the victim’s family and promised to work with local authorities in the ongoing investigation.
The company spokesman said there had been fewer operators left since reopening amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The club was first recruiting a number of part-time college students for group management and tour guiding for around £ 13.70 per day.
He said, “We taught the starting process when we trained them, but it didn’t follow the training method.
“He didn’t seem to pay attention, however.
“He grabbed the basket and took the hot air balloon up.”
The balloonist did not notice that the part-time worker first dangled from the basket and was eventually alerted by people on the ground.
The company spokesman said the victim was about 10 meters above the ground when it fell out of the basket.
The investigation continues.
