A man in his 70s was killed in a tragic collision with an electric scooter on New Years Day.
The 74-year-old man was reportedly driving an electric scooter in Greater Manchester when he collided with two parked cars.
Police were called to Springfield Road in Droylsden, Tameside at around 1:40 p.m. on Saturday, January 1.
Emergency services came and the man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. reports the Manchester Evening News.
No arrests were made.
The investigation continues, the police are asking for information about the incident.
Sergeant Marie Eldred of GMP’s Severe Collision Investigation Department said, “Our thoughts stay with the man’s family as they process this incredibly tragic loss.
“This collision happened in the middle of the day, so we hope there are a number of witnesses who may have dash cam or CCTV footage.”
