Nine people were killed and several injured in a six-car accident in northern Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. local time on Saturday, after police said a Dodge Challenger traveling at “high speed” blew through a red light and crashed into an intersection with several other vehicles, Alexander Cuevas, North Las public information officer. Vegas said at a press conference.
Cuevas said at least 15 people were involved in the crash.
The ages of the dead ranged from young children to middle-aged adults, police said.
The driver of the Dodge Dart is one of the dead.
Police said disability from drugs or alcohol is not currently suspected as a factor in the collision.
